Let's Catch Up!

Let's Catch Up // Lauren Rose Style Blogger London

Hello! I hope you are well in light of everything that is going on at the moment! There is definitely so much uncertainty with everything in life right now with the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic that is happening all over the world. It is a crazy time and it is hard to know what is right and wrong to do right now. I am personally struggling with the anxiety that it has brought me, from someone who already suffers with anxiety from time to time, it has really caused my levels of anxiety to increase. In the UK, the government are advising you to wash your hands, and practice social distancing, which is certainly a different approach to most other countries in the world who are taking a much more drastic measures and putting their country into total lockdown. At the moment, my work is still open, although we are now working from home on alternative days. I think now we have to just take the necessary precautions that we can to prevent the virus spreading and effecting the elderly and those with other health conditions. I am praying that everyone staying safe and healthy and that this situation will be contained and we can all move forward together soon.

One thing I am finding, is that the more people are talking about it, the worse I feel about it. I know there might be a lot of conflicting opinions around people posting on Instagram and social media as normal. For me, I would like to see content that will distract me a little from everything and keep my mind occupied with other things, which is why I am writing this post. I have neglected my blog so far this year and I want to change that. Since I am foreseeing that I will be spending a lot more time at home and indoors over the next few weeks, so I thought I would put it to some use and actually work on my blog a little. It is a nice distraction for me and I hope reading it is for you too!

It didn't feel right starting this blog post without addressing that first, and it feels nice to express how I am feeling about the situation and I am interested to know how it might be affecting you? Let me know in the comments.

So, even although everything is a little crazy in the world at the moment, I am actually moving flats this weekend. My boyfriend and I also found out last month that we have to move out of our current flat, so that has been a time consuming process trying to find a new flat and let me tell you, viewing flats in London is not a fun way to spend every evening. Especially as half of them are really not great. I went to some horrific viewings but luckily we have found somewhere and we are so happy with it. We are moving to South London which I am so excited about. I have been living in North London for around 3 years now, so we are looking forward to a change, somewhere new to explore and we will also be closer to a lot of my friends who live in London. I am hoping the move goes smoothly and will definitely be sharing the process and journey over on my Instagram stories if you want to follow along. You can follow me @laurenrosebell :)

With moving on the mind, I have really been getting into homeware, interior accounts and searching for inspiration for making my own flat feel like home. I have actually held off buying anything until we move in, so I don't just have more boxes to move across the whole of London. I can't wait to get in and start furniture shopping, so watch out for some homeware posts coming too!

Hope you are all staying calm and positive in these uncertain times!
