My Evening Skincare Routine

Hello! I wanted to share my evening skincare routine with you today. Skincare is something I have gotten more and more into as I have gotten older. I am way more into skincare than make-up these days. I think it is really important to look after your skin, I always remove my make-up before bed and try to keep it as hydrated and healthy as possible. The products I will be talking through in this post are the products that I truly love to use and have worked for me and my skin.

MAKEUP REMOVER AND CLEANSING

First thing first, before I delve into a full skincare routine, I like to remove my make-up. I tend to switch up this part of my skincare routine the most often with the different products I like to use.

Recently I have been using the Face Halo Make Up Remover Pads which are reusable cleansing pads that require nothing else except water to remove all your makeup and clean your face. I was quite sceptical the first time I tried them, I was unsure about whether they would really work but they are amazing. They really do work and they are much better for the environment!

When my skin is struggling and feels like it needs some TLC, I will use my beloved Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I love this product so much, I think it is so nice and gentle on the skin and leaves your skin feeling so soft afterwards. I would highly recommend trying this if you haven't before. I have repurchased this again and again for so many years now.

If I am feeling lazy and tired or I am home late and want to jump straight into bed, I will use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water with some cotton wool pads. I think this product is amazing for removing makeup but doesn't really clean your face.

TONING

Toning is a new step for me, which I have only introduced into my routine about a month ago now. if I am honest, I never realised before why people had this step in their routine, I hate to admit it but I wasn't really aware what it was for. I have been using the Pixi Glow Tonic and really like it. It is great to help firm, tone and tighten the skin and essentially helps to give you a brighter and glowing complexion.

FACE MASK

I try to make time for a face mask about once a week. I love the Lush fresh face masks, especially the Catastrophe Cosmetic one which feels so calming and hydrating on the skin - I have used for years and swear by it. I also really like the Loreal Pure Clay Detox Mask, which is a great mask for detoxifying the skin and really giving it a deep cleanse.

MOISTURISING

I am an Origins loyal fan. I am obsessed with their GinZing collection, I use it morning and night and honestly could not live without it. I love the GinZing Energy-Boosting Gel Moizturiser so much. It is so soft on the skin and super hydrating. I could rave about this product forever, honestly it is such a refreshing product that really keeps my skin feeling healthy. I then use the heavier GinZing Ultra-Hydrating Energy-Boosting Cream for my neck area. I do sometimes use it on my face whenever it feels really dehydrated and needs a really thick moisturise. Lastly I use the GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream which really works to brighten and de-puff those annoying under eye bags.

Let me know what your skincare routine is and if you have any products you think I should try?!

Until next time,
Lauren x
