The Monochrome Edit

LAUREN ROSE STYLE - STREET STYLE LONDON - MONOCHROME CHECK JACKET - FASHION BLOGGER
As much as I try to incorporate colour into my wardrobe, I always favour a monochrome look. Monochrome pieces allow you to create an effortless wardrobe, where by you can easily mix and match and experiment more with texture, pattern and materials rather than colour. The beauty of monochrome clothing is that they can essentially make up the staple's in your wardrobe that will easily transition through all seasons.

This gorgeous checked jacket from Shein (shop here) ticks all the boxes for me. I actually can't even count how many compliments I have had on this jacket. It is just such a great piece. I love the shape, the drape collar, the print and it is actually extremely soft making it so cosy, as well as looking extremely chic. I think this jacket is such an amazing piece and the perfect statement piece for this monochrome look and a new firm favourite in my wardrobe.

Coat: Shein (Shop here) // Jumper: H&M (Shop here) // Jeans: River Island (Shop here) // Boots: Forever 21 // Bag: Topshop (Shop here)

My textured fluffy grey jumper is a firm staple of mine at the moment, especially now the weather is so cold in London and I am wearing some basic Molly jeans from River Island. I pulled this outfit together with my favourite accessories, some pointed boots from Forever 21 and my Topshop monochrome bag which I am so obsessed with.

I wore this outfit out for a day at the V&A with my lovely friend Anishka ~ who also has an amazing blog, check it out here! They were hosting lots of fashion career talks and it was so interesting to hear talks from so many like-minded people, who are all so passionate about their career's working in fashion. I have been working in fashion for 2 years now and I absolutely love it. Although it can be a hard industry to work in, as it is extremely busy and super fast paced, listing to other people journeys in the industry make's you even more motivated than you already are to continue to build your own career and keep working as hard as you can to get where you want to be.

What do you think of this outfit? I would love to know if your a monochrome lover like me?

Stargazer

December has finally arrived which means the festive season is about to go full speed ahead, with Christmas parties galore, lots of Christmas shopping to do, all the mulled wine and don't forget the boxes of quality streets that are going to be demolished. It is the most wonderful time of the year indeed. All the Christmas excitement has got me thinking about what I am going to wear over the festive period. Of course some velvet and glittery numbers will be worn but this star print dress is definitely going to be a staple this season for me. It is the perfect dress for the festive season and a strong contender to be my Christmas Day outfit.
I am just obsessed with everything about this dress. It is a gorgeous silk material, which makes it feel so luxe and the quality is truly amazing. I love the Star-print and the gorgeous ruffle detail, as well as how it cinches me in at the waist and looks ever so flattering. I like that I can dress it up in some heels for an evening look, or dress it down in some boots and a beret for a chic day look. I have had oh so many compliments when I have worn this dress already, it is a definite statement piece. The timeless style means that it is one that I can bring out year after year.
I teamed this incredible dress with my favourite pointed boots from Forever 21, which I sadly can't find online to link - I got them from the Oxford Street Store a few weeks ago for just £30. Then I wore my staple monochrome Topshop bag that you have probably seen in my last outfit post. I still haven't put it down since I got it and you can shop it here if you wish.
Dress: Monsoon (Shop here) // Boots: Forever 21 // Bag: Topshop (Shop here) // Red Beret: Accesorize (Shop here)

I am also wearing my little red beret from Accessorize, which I think pulls the whole look together. I also can't believe I have waited this long to become a beret fan. If anyone needs an idea on what to get me for Christmas, I now need one in every colour pleeease - haha. You can shop this festive red one here.

I hope this post got you excited about festive dressing! I can't wait to keep wearing this dress over the season and find some more gems that will appear on my blog over the next month too. I have a very OTT sequin number that I plan to wear to my work Christmas party, so I will hopefully get some snaps wearing that to share.

What are you most excited about wearing this festive season? I would love to know what you think of this dress?!

Until next time, Lauren Rose xx

The Teddy Bear Coat

The Teddy Bear Coat Missguided - LAUREN ROSE STYLE - Autumn Style Fashion Blogger - London Street Style
The teddy bear coat is having a major moment right now and I am not surprised. It is fluffy and cosy and I am totally obsessed with mine. If your looking for one coat trend to add to your collection this winter, it is a no-brainer, it just has to be a teddy bear coat, you will not regret it!

These photo's were taken last Saturday whilst enjoying a walk through Regent's Park with my boyfriend. The park is a sea of orange leaves at the moment, it looks beautiful and make's for the perfect Autumnal photo vibes. If you know me well, you will know Autumn is my favourite time of year, so this setting made me oh so happy. Sometime's you forget in the hustle and bustle of London, that we have so many amazing parks and gardens to escape to and explore, helping us find a little bit of peace in the city. It is my favourite way to spend a weekend in London and definitely beats the busyness of central on the weekend.

I wanted to briefly shout out to my new hat, which I am 'beret' happy about ~ sorry I had to get the pun in there! I have finally jumped onto this trend, a little late but I am so glad I have. I always thought that beret's were not for me, I thought they looked ridiculous on me, but then I kept seeing babes like Amy from The Little Magpie and Liv from What Olivia Did pulling them off so well and looking ever so chic in them, that I just had to try for myself one more time. That is when I found this red one from Accessorize and knew it was the one for me. When I posted a picture to Instagram wearing it last weekend, I got sooo many comments and complements on it, so now I think I need to get one in every single colour. What do you think?

The Waterfall Coat

Lauren Rose Style // The Waterfall Coat MISS PAP // Street Style London Blogger Outfit Winter
This winter I have welcomed the waterfall coat into my wardrobe with open arms. I never knew how much I needed one in my life until I got this one from Miss Pap. I have had so many compliments on this coat in the past few weeks and therefore I knew I had to share in a blog post. I was pleasantly surprised with how great the quality of this jacket is too, it is a really thick material, so perfect for wrapping up to keep warm *apart from in the arm region obviously*.

I have been wearing this gorgeous coat over a knit roll neck or a little jumper to create the perfect layered look. I am also wearing my new favourite skirt from Topshop, which I have been wearing so much since I got it. It is the perfect piece for Autumn, pairing it with my knee high boots to create more of a smarter overall look. The boots were actually a bargain that I got in Primark last year, but I am sure they have really similar ones in this year too, so it is worth having a little look in store.

The Autumn Dress Wishlist

AUTUMN DRESS WISHLIST // LAUREN ROSE STYLE// FASHION BLOGGER LONDON

I have trailed the web for the best dresses for Autumn so you don’t have to. As much as I love a good roll neck and cosy knit at this time of year, I also love wearing dresses even more and there are so many beautiful dress's now in for Autumn/Winter. Whether you are looking for a day dress or an evening number, my little wish list below has you covered. I have included a mixture of brands, from Warehouse who have some amazing occasion dresses right now, Zara who have velvet dress's nailed for the season and New Look and Mango who are providing some gorgeous autumnal floral dresses. Let me know which ones are your favourite and if any will be swiftly added into your online shopping basket!

BOOHOO DRESS - AUTUMN DRESS WISHLIST // LAUREN ROSE STYLE// FASHION BLOGGER LONDON

1. Dress: Boohoo (Shop Here)

The major theme for dresses this autumn is florals, autumnal florals at that. Summer colours are gone to make way for a darker colour palette including black, mustard yellow and navy and more romantic dress styles have taken over featuring lots of beautiful lace, lightweight chiffon and embroidered mesh.

NEW LOOK DRESS - AUTUMN DRESS WISHLIST // LAUREN ROSE STYLE// FASHION BLOGGER LONDON

2. Dress: New Look (Shop Here)

You may know already, but red is definitely the colour of the moment, so adding a pop of red into your Autumn wardrobe is key this season. This muted floral print dress has a feminine victorian style to it and it is such a beautiful dress. I actually saw this dress on another blogger, the gorgeous Karina from The Style Idealist (see her wearing it here) and knew I had to include in this post.

3. Dress: Warehouse (Shop Here)

When I saw this dress, I instantly fell in love. I am a sucker for a rose print and this embroidered mesh style ticks all the boxes. It is such a flattering shape and will be a great versatile piece to transition from a day look to an 'after work drinks' evening look. I will definitely be ordering this dress as soon as I have finished writing this post as it just has to be mine.

MANGO DRESS - AUTUMN DRESS WISHLIST // LAUREN ROSE STYLE// FASHION BLOGGER LONDON

4. Dress: Mango (Shop Here)

The majority of the dresses that caught my eye for this post were either midi or maxi styles, however I wanted to include this short floral style as it is the perfect dress to pair with some knee high black boots to pull together the most chicest of autumn looks.

VELVET DRESS ZARA - AUTUMN DRESS WISHLIST // LAUREN ROSE STYLE// FASHION BLOGGER LONDON

5. Dress: Both Zara
(Shop Pink Here, Shop Navy Here)

It's that time of year again, where velvet makes a comeback for winter and this year it has matured into more timeless and classic style's. This gorgeous velvet draped wrap dress comes in two colours, both featuring a lace detail on the arm. They are oh so perfect in every way. Zara, you've nailed it again.

CHECK PINAFORE TOPSHOP - AUTUMN DRESS WISHLIST // LAUREN ROSE STYLE// FASHION BLOGGER LONDON

 6. Dress: Topshop (Shop Here

Ah the classic pinafore dress, I am very happy to see they are making a stylish come back. With checked blazers on every other blogger over on instagram right now (no shame - I am also a culprit), why not opt for a checked dress instead? You are nailing the check print trend, but in a more individual way. I love the cool girl vibe of this dress and it would look perfect over a knitted roll neck.

Let me know what dress is your favourite?

Until Next Time, Lauren Rose xx
