Roof Top Film Club - Roof East, Stratford

I love the idea of outdoor cinemas in the summer, because who really wants to go to an actual indoor cinema when it is nice and sunny outside? A couple of weeks ago I went to a rooftop cinema screening on Roof East in Stratford. They have mini golf, food vendors, cocktail bars, games tables and the outdoor cinema area all to enjoy on the roof of Stratford International Carpark. Doesn't sound too glamorous, but it was really cool, the vibe was really relaxed and you also get a great view of the skyline...
They had the outdoor cinema area filled with summer deck chairs and as we bought our tickets through Time Out online, we were treated to free popcorn too - yuuuuuum.

I enjoyed a lovely elderflower cocktail and my boyfriend had beer and we also got a free mojito as they got my order wrong the first time - no complaints here.
We went to see Sicario, which neither of us had seen before and it was my kind of film, I really enjoyed it. It is a crime-thriller film, about an FBI agent brought in by the government to bring down the leader of the Mexican drug cartel. It is actually on Netflix at the moment, so I would definitely recommend watching it!

The film starts as the sun sets around 9pm and finished when the sky is dark, with fairy lights lighting up the rooftop, as well as the city lights surrounding. Luckily for us it has been a warm day but they do give you blankets to use to keep warm as the sun disappears, which is such a cute idea I think. It's so cosy snuggling up in a blanket whilst watching a film outside in the dark. It was a perfect evening.

I would really recommend visiting an outdoor cinema in London before the end of summer, I think its such a lovely idea and makes for a very lovely, relaxing evening. I am very tempted to book another visit next month with some friends!

They have loads of outdoor cinema screenings going on all over London, Time-out have a run down of all the different outdoor/rooftop cinemas in London here or you can check out the Rooftop Film Clubs website here for all their listings at Stratford and other locations (Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch, Kensington Roof Gardens, Bussey Building in Peckham etc) and remember if you buy through time-out online you get free popcorn - wooo! Haha.

Have you ever been to an outdoor cinema before? I would love to know what other ones you have visited and if you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Gladiator Vibes

Today I am excited to be sharing my last set of outfit photos from my holiday in beautiful Portugal, pairing my gladiator sandals with a frayed hem denim skirt and a pretty embroidered top. A slightly delayed post, but summer life plans have been getting in the way AND I lost my camera, more on that later..

I found this cute oversized, embroidered white top from TK Maxx for super cheap and thought it would be perfect for holiday. It is pretty long and could have been used as a beach cover-up, but I thought it looked cute tucked in as a top, so that is what I did. I tucked it into my favourite denim skirt, this frayed hem denim skirt from Bershka. It may just be a denim skirt but the detail added from the frayed texture definitely adds a lil somethin' somethin' and this has been my favourite purchase from the whole of summer.

We also have another appearance from these fabulous gladiator lace-up sandals from Public Desire, which I previously discussed the difficulties of getting these on in my last post here - they are worth it though. Contemplating an outing of these in London this weekend if the sun is still shining, fingers crossed.

So there you have it, all my holiday style posts are now over. You can see my other posts 'here' and 'here'. One month on and I feel like my tan has faded, sad times. In other news I actually lost my camera whilst on holidau, so I haven't been able to take any outfit photos for a while or any photo's for my blog at all in fact. Luckily my insurance claim has came through and I am planning on getting a new camera this weekend. I am very excited as I think I'm going to be treating myself to an Olympus Pen - eeeek (thanks Mum and Dad for the early Christmas present). So hopefully soon my photo quality will be bangin' and hopefully I can role in my flatmate for some outfit photo sessions.

I hope you are having a lovely (humid if you are in London) week and hopefully I will be back with another new post this weekend!

Blue Hues & Lace Up Shoes

Today I wanted to share my second outfit post from my recent holiday in Portugal wearing this gorgeous silky dress from Zara and my favourite summer sandals...

Dress - Zara
Bag - Primark
Shoes - Public Desire (similar)

I picked up this simple patterned blue dress from Zara in the sale last summer. It was the perfect lightweight dress to wear in the warm evenings and I accessorised with a little turquoise cross body bag from Primark.

I am also wearing my new lace up sandals from Public Desire - How amazing are they? I am so obsessed with them. I actually got them a couple of months ago and they have been living in a box in my wardrobe until now so I was very excited to finally wear them. I ended up wearing them most night's on holiday, as I just loved wearing them so much. They have a zip all the way up the back and you have to wrap the laces all the way up around your legs and into a cute little bow - however after a few glasses of wine, they did prove slightly difficult to get on let me tell you!

What do you think of this dress? Do you love my sandals as much as I do?

Sunday's At Columbia Road

They say a Sunday well spent, brings a week of content and last Sunday I did exactly that. It was a lovely sunny day, so myself and my boyfriend decided to head to Columbia Road to grab some yummy brunch and have a stroll around the amazing flower market...

Columbia Road Flower Market is one of my favourite markets in London. A huge flower and plant market on every Sunday in East London from 8am to 3pm, the whole road fills with flower vendors shouting all their best deals and happy weekend shoppers wander around, browsing the selection. It get's extremely busy (head down early to avoid the crowds) but there is something about the buzz that I love. Everyone coming together on a Sunday, enjoying the sunshine and buying flowers. It is one of life's simplest pleasures and the selection here is like nothing you will have seen before.

Day's like this make me appreciate how amazing living in London is and having this a short ten minute bus journey away. I chose some pink and blue hydrangeas and mixed them with some white flowers before they wrapped them all up for me in a big bouquet and I left with happy with a beautiful bunch of flowers.
Also just a little tip, if you head down in the afternoon nearer to 3pm when it closes, there are loads of bargains to be found with sellers trying to get rid of a lot before they pack up to go home.
Now for some brunch...
We ate at the String Ray Globe Cafe at the end of Columbia Road and it was lovely. I had eggs and avocado on toast (as usual), and Simon had a full english, just what we both wanted. We also had some amazing iced coffees that were delicious and just what we needed whilst we were sitting outside melting in the heat.

Afterwards we continued to have a wander around other parts of East London and headed to Brick Lane to go film camera shopping and then to browse around all the lovely stalls in Spitalfield's market.
As it was such a sunny day, I could actually dress like it is summer, so I thought I would share a few outfit snaps wearing my current favourite fringed denim skirt and show off my gorgeous flowers from the market...

Little Red Dress

The Red Dress // Lauren Rose Bell // Fashion, Lifestyle and Beauty Blogger London // Holiday OOTD WIWT STYLE
I have recently returned from the loveliest, chilled-out holiday in Portugal with 3 of my best friends feeling refreshed and relaxed. We spent the majority of the holiday basking in the sun all day, drinking lots of wine and eating all the yummy food. Very civilised! Although we did spend one afternoon on an inflatable obstacle course in the middle of the sea - children at heart. Annnnyways, I thought I would share a few outfits that I wore whilst on holiday starting with this little red dress that made me feel a bit like the dancing emoji (this dress is actually my friend Ellis's - THANKS BABE - sharing's caring)...

What to wear in the evening's on holiday is always the hardest decision you have to make of each day, unless choosing which ice-cream to eat every day counts? You want to dress up and look pretty, but also be comfy and loose clothing is a winner to stay cool. This little red dress ticked all the boxes for me, especially as I had sunburn on my shoulders. It hurt to even wear bra straps, so having an off-the shoulder style dress allowed my shoulders to have some breathing space for the evening. Life. Saver.

The off-the-shoulder style has been everywhere this summer and I love how flattering the cut of this dress is. I used a chunky belt from Primark to cinch the dress in at the waist and give the dress some more shape and teamed the look with my lace up black sandals from Topshop that I have had for absolute ages. They are a little summer staple and contrasted perfectly with the bright dress. I couldn't find the exact ones online anywhere as they are from last summer, but I have linked similar below if you were interested!

I am excited to share some more holiday outfit posts in the next week, so make sure you look out for those too!

Until then LRB x
