Croatian Jewels // Holiday Outfit

Kaftan - New Look // Sandals - Forever 21
Bandana - Primark // Sunglasses - Brick Lane Market
Necklace - Primark // Rings - Accessorize // Cuff Bracelet - Primark // Nails - Barry M (Greenberry)

Today I have my third outfit post from my holiday in Croatia. Please excuse the fact my hair is scraped back in a horrible bun with a bandana covering it, but you know how it is on holiday, I needed my hair out of my face and off my neck in the heat. This beautiful white beach cover up / Kaftan is from New Look, it is is perfect to throw over a bikini and I love the white lace detail on it. My chunky sandals are from Forever 21 and are extremely comfortable. I blinged out the look with some jewellery for these photos, which I think really tie the Croatian holiday vibe together. The necklace and bracelet were bargains from Primark and all my rings are from the sterling silver range at Accessorize. Accessorize sterling silver rings are actually my all time favourite rings, as they never turn your fingers green like most rings. I wear them most days and I think they co-ordinated pretty well with my braclet and nail colour, which was actually unintentional - I promise! haha.

The streets in Hvar are so narrow and quaint, lots of lovely brick walls and I love how they look in the background of these photos. I am obsessed with white background's anyway but with the white dress, I think the photos look super cool (Thanks to Megan for her photography skills). I think white might my favourite colour right now, is white a colour? I would quite like a nice white wall like this in my garden to shoot outfits all the time.

Writing this post is really making me miss my holiday and the sun. Scotland's weather right now is atrocious and it is more like autumn than summer. I am praying the sun comes out soon but it is not looking hopeful!

What do you think of these photos? Do you like this casual holiday look?

Poolside Snaps // Holiday Outfit

Bikini - H&M
Kimono - H&M
Sunglasses - Brick Lane Market
My favourite holiday purchase has to be this long, palm tree printed Kimono from H&M. When I seen it in store, I knew it had to be mine and it was pretty inexpensive too at £14.99. I am obsessed with palm tree printed clothing at the moment, definite summer vibes and I just thought this was the perfect statement piece for taking on holiday! The thin, light fabric was ideal for wearing it in the Croatian sun, whether that was round the pool or to the beach club for drinks in the evening. I just love how floaty and fun it was to wear and urgently need another holiday just so I have an excuse to wear it again! My cat eye sunglasses were also a holiday staple, along with my 3 other pairs I took away (sunglasses are like shoes to me - you can never have too many pairs). I actually got these ones last year from a little market stall on Brick Lane in London.

If you didn't already know I was in Hvar, Croatia for a week with my University friends, it was such an amazing, beautiful island and I had the best week ever! I have posted one holiday outfit post here already from my trip, and have another two posts to come!

Also can you tell these photos were taken on the first day of my holiday? I am so pale!

Post University Feels..

Finishing University is a weird one. You think when you go into first year that when you finish your degree and graduate you will go straight into a full time job in the sector you wish and have life all figured out. Well for me that is certainly far from the truth. I feel slightly in limbo, lost about my place in life. Before I was always working towards something, achieving my degree, mountains of uni work to concentrate on, but now I don't have a focus. I have received my results, which I am over the moon about and have graduation to look forward to next month. I have had a wonderful holiday to Croatia with my amazing course mates and have now moved out of my little flat I shared with my best friend, and moved back home with my parents. So, what next, it isn't easy to just walk straight into a job in fashion, even with a degree. Speaking to my friends from my course on holiday, we shared similar feelings of the unknown, not knowing what step to take next. We discussed feelings of questioning what we want out of life. Is what we initially wanted to do, in reality still want we want to do now. I don't really know where I am going with this but speaking to others made me realise that it is perfectly okay to feel like this, it's nice to know other people feel the same and that it is okay not to have life figured out by the age of 22 - if ever.

Tropical Prints and White Lace // Holiday Outfit

I am just back from an amazing week's holiday on the beautiful Croatian Island of Hvar. I have a number of holiday outfit posts to share thanks to my wonderful friend Megan for taking all my photos for me. I wore this outfit one morning to head out to get a fresh smoothie for breakfast followed by a little walk round the island. I got mango and bannana mmmm...

Ruffled Bardot Top - Miss Selfridge
White Lace Shorts - H&M
Lace Up Gladiator Sandals - Topshop
Beach Bag - H&M
Sunglasses - Primark
This was quite a throw on and go outfit, but I think for a casual holiday look, it worked pretty well. I wore this tropical printed crop top from Miss Selfridge. I love this style of bardot top that is in just now, I want to get a few more in some other colours as I think they are really flattering. I don't usually shop in Miss Selfridge much if I am honest, but on a recent shopping trip to find holiday clothes I went in for a browse and ended up with quite a few bits. They had so many lovely summer pieces, definitely worth a look if your heading of on your holidays. I paired the top with my white shorts from H&M, which I wore a lot on holiday as they are super comfy and I love the lace trim on them. I then wore my Topshop gladiator sandals that I have featured in the past few blog posts, whoops - I can't take them off my feet, they are glued! My bag is also from H&M, which I actually got last summer but they have brought it out again this year. It is just a nice, casual beach bag that goes with everything really.

I hope you liked this post, I have a few more holiday outfit posts coming up, as well as a separate blog post sharing my photos from Croatia, as the island was truly beautiful and you can't really see it from outfit pictures!

(p.s excuse the bug cream on my leg - I was getting eaten alive there haha)

The Denim Dress

Denim Dress - New Look
Top - Primark
Lace Up Gladiator Sandals - Topshop
Sunglasses - Quay Australia (Similar)
Bag - H&M

Every day the sun comes out here in rainy Scotland I jump at the chance to dress somewhat 'summery', get my legs out and my sandals on! So on Saturday the opportunity arose, it was nice and sunny and I had plans to spend the day shopping and attending my friends degree show. I wore this little denim pinafore dress from New Look with a plain white long sleeve top underneath and my Topshop lace sandals I blogged about here. I love this little outfit, and it is also the best thing ever having pockets on a dress. It is actually quite a versatile dress, as I originally got this dress for my end of University night out, where I wore it with some heels and a dark lip and additionally I am packing it to take on holiday to Croatia, so I am loving how many different ways and occasions I can wear it. Denim is a huge trend this summer too and denim dresses seem to be super popular right now, you can get them in nearly every high street shop. This one was only £20, which I think is amazing.

Also, I am seriously in love with my sunglasses from Quay Australia. I had wanted a pair of Quay's for ages and had been contemplating ordering some as a treat for holiday, but the international shipping process/fee had been putting me off. Luckily whilst I was in New York I spotted a whole stand of them in Topshop in Soho and I was so so excited. I tried about 10 different styles on but these were definitely my favourite. I have been wearing them at every possible opportunity ever since and will be taking them on holiday too.

Do you like this outfit? How would you style a denim dress? :)
