New In: Shoes

Nike - Free Runs
Topshop - HEAVEN Gladiator Sandals

I have bought a few new pairs of shoes recently and surprise, surprise, they have been black and white. I have promised myself the next pair of shoes I buy will be colourful, but black is just easier and more wearable, I guess that's why I always choose them.

Firstly my Nike free runs, which have changed my shoe game. I have never been a trainers girl, except for wearing to the gym, but since I bought these I always reach for a jeans and trainers combo. They are just so easy to throw on, they're super comfy and I feel like I am literally walking on a cloud. I have worn them to the gym a few times but predominantly I got them for wearing casually. I actually got these from the Nike Outlet in America and can't find them online, but there are similar sold here.

Secondly my amazing Topshop lace up Gladiator Sandals. I am obsessed with these sandals. When I found these last week and tried them on, I was instantly sold! I couldn't believe they were only £26, which I think is amazing for Topshop and I even got 20% off with student discount. I am going on holiday to Croatia next week so I thought they would be perfect for taking away, but also just to wear in the UK over the summer. They had there first outing yesterday when I wore them with a little denim dress. I actually took some outfit photos, which will be up in Wednesday's post.

Lastly but by no means least these Forever 21 Printed Sandals. I haven't worn these yet, as I am saving them for my holiday, but I love them so much. Forever 21 had so many different sandals when I was in, definitely worth a look in there right now. I really like the chunky style of these sandals and the print on them is amazing! Both sandals are perfect edition's to my summer wardrobe.

I think I need to stear away from the shoe section in shops for a while now haha!

Which shoes do you prefer? What have you been buying recently for summer?

The Nude Lip Edit

Mac Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy // Rimmel Lip Liner in Addiction
Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in 630 Nude Perfection // Rimmel/Kate Moss in 03

Today I thought I would share my favourite nude lip products. I have never really been a nude lipstick girl until much recently, I usually wore pale pink's or a bright colour. However, now I am loving a nude lip. I guess a nude lip is a safe make-up option, but with a lipliner I think it is quite a strong look when teamed with a smokey eye. These shades are all quite similar, with the Rimmel lipstick in '03' and the Maybelline lip pencil in 'Nude Pefection' products acting as amazing dupes for Mac's Velvet Teddy, which I love like the rest of the world. The Rimmel lip liner in 'Addiction' is also the perfect colour match to wear with Velvet Teddy. This is my favourite lip combination at the moment, I literally wear it most days - I have a picture below to show the colour!

What are your favourite nude lip products? Do you have any other dupes for Velvet Teddy?

Healthy Chocolate Orange Snacks

Over exam period I seen myself reaching for unhealthy snacks at every possible moment, so my flatmate and I decided to make some more healthier treats to nibble on whilst revising. We got this recipe out of Madeleine Shaw's new book and altered it slightly to suit us. We found it super quick and easy to make (after we remembered to add the banana - that helps stick the mixture together) and they honestly taste amazing!

1 mashed banana
170g oats
3 tbsp coco powder
2 tbsp of honey
250g Mejool dates
A pinch of salt
Zest of an orange

1. Place the oats in a blender and grind until they form a flour texture
2. Add the dates, coco powder and salt in with the oats and blend everything together
3. Place all the mixture in a bowl, add the honey and banana and mix all together
4. Grate the orange zest and mix 2/3 of it into the mixture
5. Mould the mixtures into balls and roll them in the rest of the orange zest
6. EAT

They can be kept in the fridge and enjoyed throughout the week.

I promise you will not be disappointed by these, they are so yummy!

The Summer Nude Dress

Dress - Zara
Jacker - Miss Selfridge
Boots - Office
Bag - Accessorize
I have completed all my exams and I handed in my final coursework on Tuesday, so have now officially finished my final year at University - boy does it feel good. Technically I have a degree now, which is pretty cool, even although graduation isn't until July! I wore this outfit to spend the day drinking cocktails in the sun with my course friends to celebrate and I had such a fabulous day. I got this dress recently from Zara and I love it. I love the smart, casual vibe and think it is really flattering how it sinches in at the waist. Teamed with a staple leather jacket and boots and wearing a gold necklace to complete the simplistic look.

I am excited to blog more now I have more free time - I will be be posting every Wednesday and Sunday!

The White Staple Dress // Dissertation Celebrations

Dress - Missguided
Heeled Boots - Zara
Necklace - Missguided

After recently handing in my dissertation, myself and my course mates of course had to celebrate! It was also one of my friends's 21'st so we had some combined celebrations that I of course needed a new dress for. I browsed Missguided and found this white cut out dress, which I thought would be perfect and something that could become a staple in my wardrobe. I teamed it with my favourite heeled boots from Zara, which also have cut out details and an orange and gold statement necklace to add a bit of colour.

10 days until I am finished exam's and University forever EEEEEK!

New York Beauty Haul - Sephora and Mac

Today I have a little haul of the beauty products I bought when I was in New York last month. In my last Sephora Haul I mentioned I would be taking another trip to Sephora and it was definitely more enjoyable than my last experience. Sephora is on every corner in New York, it is crazy. I also took a trip to Mac in Macys whilst I was there and got some new lipsticks. I have been back for a couple of weeks now, so have been using all these products a lot since then and I am excited to share what I think! Heads up, I am not very good at describing products, I just like talking about why I like them :)

This trio eye shadow palette was literally $2.99. That is like £2, which is crazy! I didn't have high expectations due to the price tag but I have been wanting a small every-day eyeshadow palette and this certainly does the job. It has 3 shades to create a natural light smokey eye. I have been using the middle, light brown, base colour everyday on my lids since I got this and I really like it. I like how its more matte than shimmery, which sometimes I don't like about using my Naked palette.

'Bite' Agave Lip Mask
I heard about this lip mask from beauty blogger Vivianna Does Make-up and when I seen it in Sephora, I decided to try it. It is pricey for essentially a lip balm but it is an amazing, super moisturising product and you only need the tiniest bit each time. I get really dry lips and it was pretty bad in New York as it was so cold, so this was a life saver. I actually prefer using this product on my lips in the evening, before I go to bed, to let it work it's magic overnight.

'Anastasia Beverly Hills' Brow Wiz in Soft Brown
I had heard good things about this product and thought I would upgrade from my current brow product, which was just a cheap little pencil. I really like this product, one side of this is a fine twist up pencil and the other a brow brush, which is much more useful than I could ever imagine at defining your brows and creating an arch. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a brow product to add to your collection. I am not great at getting the right colour, but I just asked the lady in store and she was happy to help match me. So make sure you ask and don't get a colour that is too dark, because that would not be a good look!

There was so much hype in the beauty world around this mascara a while back and ever since then I have wanted to try it. It did not disappoint. I am not sure if this is over-reacting, but I do feel like this Mascara is life changing, it is so good! My lashes look so long and fabulous when I use it. I brought my flatmate one back from NY too and she shares the same opinion that it is amazing, we are converted! This isn't on the Sephora website but you can actually buy it in the UK from QVC here. I can't wait to try more products from Tarte Cosmetics in the future if they are as good as this.

'Mac' Lipstick's in Brave (Satin), Velvet Teddy (Matte) and Heroine (Matte)
As Mac is slightly cheaper in America, I picked up a few lipsticks. I have wanted Velvet Teddy for ages - woo Kylie Jenner hype - but it is always sold out in the UK, so I was happy that I managed to finally get it and I love how it looks on. I like wearing it with the Rimmel lipliner in 'Addiciton', it is a perfect match. I also got 'Brave', which is a lovely pink (your lips but better) shade. Lastly I picked up 'Heroine'. I love the colour of this lipstick, my flatmate has it so I have used it a few times before for nights out, so I just wanted to get it for myself.

Hope you liked this post! I have posted some photo's from my trip to New York here if you are interested :)
