WHITE #ootd

Jacket - Topshop
Jumper - Next
Skirt - Forever 21
Heels - Forever 21
Bag - Accessorize

This blog post name is very apt considering not only my outfit choice, but the fact I am feeling very pale right now. I have not fake tanned in what feels like a zillion years, so I apologise about my pasty legs.

I mentioned in my last post about how much I am in love with this jumper I got for Christmas and I can't stop wearing it. It is super soft and cosy, and I am also obsessed with roll neck tops and jumpers right now, so this jumper really is perfect for me. I am really into the tonal dressing trend that is coming in for Spring/Summer 15, so that is what has inspired this outfit (including scrolling through Pintrest). Key to getting this look right, is using different shades of the colour, whether that is tones of white or mixing neutral colours in general and also introducing pieces with texture.

What do you think about Tonal Dressing? Will any of you be taking inspiration from this Spring/Summer 15 trend?

Icy Country Walk

After two weeks of exams and coursework deadlines - I'm free (kinda)! Although I have to keep working on my dissertation, I have a little more free time now before I go back to having classes at the start of February - so I have ventured back home for ten days to chill. Today I went for a walk in the countryside with my friend Vicky and as we got to the loch, it was all frozen over. It hadn't just frozen into one sheet of ice, it is kind of like layers of ice, frozen on top of each other and it looked so cool! So we decided to take some pictures, (of course we had our selfie stick at hand) so I thought I would share them.

Also OBSESSED with this roll neck jumper from Next, I literally can't stop wearing it. It is so super cosy and let me tell you that is what you need in life to endure this Scottish winter! As I have a little more time now I am planning on doing some more outfit posts over the next few week and get back into blogging, so maybe I'll use the jumper in one of them :)

Have you ever seen water freeze over like this before?

Happy New Year!

I talked about my new years resolutions a bit in my last post but I decided to do a specific post reflecting on 2014 and what I expect to make of 2015, as I really enjoy reading these kind of new years posts.

I do like the feeling of a new year, and the fact it gives you a clean slate to start fitness and healthy eating again after the Christmas indulgence, however although these are included in my resolutions, this year I want to focus on pushing myself in my final 4 months of University and plan some exciting things for the rest of the year.

I have to say on the first of January I was feeling pretty glum about 2015. I had an amazing 2014 as cliche as it sounds, I moved to London and lived with some of my best friends for 3 months, which was one of the best experiences of my life, literally the best fun ever. I had my first PR internship/placement within a luxury fashion brand, which was an amazing opportunity both personally and educationally, as I developed much more experience and actually had an insight into how the industry works, rather than just learning about it within a lecture hall. I also celebrated my 21st birthday with my friends and family, went on my first holiday with my boyfriend to Turkey, attended Radio 1's big weekend in Glasgow, as well as T in the Park in my hometown. I worked all summer up in Aberdeen before going back to University for my final year, which has so far been extremely tough and challenging. I also got my first tattoo, went to Brighton, seen One Direction live (OMG) and took a mid semester trip to Paris with my boyfriend, which was amazing and certainly took my mind of uni work for a bit - if only I could do that every weekend.

London 2014
Some of the girls I lived with in London
London Fashion Week - Venue
Portobello With My Mum
My 21st Party!
My 21'st Birthday At Mahiki
Turkey - June
Radio One's Big Weekend
T in the Park - July
One Direction
My Very Small Tattoo
Paris - November
Christmas Day
New Year's Eve
So after such a fantastic year, the prospect of 2015 kind of scares me. I don't have any definite plans apart from the fact I will (hopefully) be graduating from University in July with an honours degree. This is equally very exciting and very scary. The questions from family are constantly 'You will be graduating and have to get a real job soon' or 'What are you going to do after University?', which does not make me feel any better about it. I have no idea what I will be doing in 6 months time, which really scares me. I obviously have ideas of what I would like to do, but I know that it will not be easy and will be a challenge for myself. I have decided to enjoy the journey rather than dread it. If I work really hard, hopefully I will get were I want to be one day and 'you never fail until you stop trying'.

This year I would also like to travel more, whether that is weekend breaks or holidays with my friends. I am off to New York in the Easter holidays with my family, which I am very, very excited about, as I have never been before! After I finish exams in May I think I will take some time to just enjoy myself and hopefully go on holiday with my University friends before graduation. Then I will start applying for jobs and who knows where that will take me!

I wish you all a Happy 2015 <3

Frosty #ootd

Coat - Topshop
Dress- Zara
Boots- Office
Bag - Accessorize
I am well aware that this coat make's me resemble a snowman or a sheep, but I am so obsessed with it I don't even care. My parents got me it for Christmas and it is so comfy and cosy and I think I will be living in it for the rest of winter. These photo's were actually taken on Christmas morning and this dress from Zara is what I wore on Christmas day, which was also a present from my mum - I love it!

On another note - Happy New Year! WOOP WOOP! I am currently still recovering from my New Years Eve party after spending it rather merry with all my friends. But I am off to my grans for steak pie tonight - so excited!

I thought I would also share my New Year's Resolutions for this year!

1. Graduate - I guess this isn't really a resolution, but it is something that will happen this year (hopefully) and I am both excited and extremely nervous about it. SCARY!

2. Run a 10k - I always set New Years Resolutions that are go to the gym and be healthy but realistically I just never stick to them. So this year I have set myself a goal of running a 10k and have already started on my 'couch to 5k' programme so fingers crossed I keep it up!

What are your resolutions?
