Powder Blue

Coat - Primark
Crop Top - H&M
Leather Skirt - New Look
Boots - Topshop

I have wanted a pastel coloured coat for a while, but just couldn't justify the £100 price tag for the ones in Zara for something that might not be in every season. So when I seen this coat in Primark I just had to buy it. I am so happy I found it, not only do I love the colour, it is actually so soft! I have had so many complements on it and no-one ever believes me when I say it is from Primark. I think it was only £25, which is SO much less than the Zara one I wanted. It also means if I want to just wear black and white clothes (everyday of my life) I can wear this to brighten up my outfit. It is perfect for this time of year when it's not quite cold enough for a big winter jacket but too cold to just wear a little cardigan. <3

Mini Monochrome Haul

I really try when I go shopping to not just buy black and white clothing but I just can't help being drawn towards them. I have been trying to introduce more colour into my wardrobe recently and have actually bought a pale blue coat, which I am going to do an outfit post on next week. But again here I am on my most recent shopping splurge with no colour in sight. As it's coming into Autumn/Winter shops are introducing different textures, patterns and materials making these monochrome pieces a bit more interesting and that is how I am justifying buying more to myself!

I thought I would show you the clothes on in little detail shots :)

Grid Crop Top - Fashion Union (In New Look)
Croc Leather Skirt - River Island

Snakeskin Strappy Top - H&M
Croc Leather Skirt - River Island

Grey Knit Cropped Jumper - H&M
Croc Leather Skirt - River Island

I think my favourite piece is the grey 'mock croc' leather skirt as I just think it's soooo cool and I love the tiny detailing on it. It is really unusual and definitely the kind of skirt I will be wearing during the day and the evening. I also always really struggle to get high waisted skirts that actually fit really well everywhere (small waist and big booty) but it fits perfectly so I am super happy with this purchase. Also can you tell I am just LOVING River Island and H&M in general right now. They both have so many lovely pieces in for Autumn / Winter and I reeeallly want one of River Island's fur bags!

Hope you have enjoyed this kind of post - I have never done a haul before. Happy Weekend!

BEAUTY: Watermelon Nails

I have been off work the past week which has left me with a lot of spare time on my hands. One creative afternoon activity was painting my nails like watermelons. I think there so cute and it was super easy to do. I wish I had put a topcoat on them so they would have lasted longer, as after a week they have started to chip. I used a Nails Inc pale pink as a base but you can use any kind of pink really. I then used one of the Collection Mardi Gras limited edition nail varnish's in 'green with envy' for the tips and a black Models Own nail art pen to draw the seeds.

Sunday Post - The Perfect Sunday Outfit

Dress - Topshop
Cropped Jumper - Primark
Watch - Fossil

When I'm not at work, the perfect sunday to me is spent chilling in oversized comfy clothing, eating berries, reading Alexa Chung's book IT (which I've had for ages but never got round to properly read it all) and spending time with my family. Big chunky jumpers are my weakness right now and I can't stop being drawn to them in every shops new autumn/winter ranges. This jumper is perfect for Autumn/Winter and I love the mix of textures in this look. It is the simplest outfit ever but I love it <3

I am now spending my Sunday evening watching X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother, whilst browsing ASOS where my bag seems to be continuously growing with things I want - help!

How do you like to spend your sunday? :)

August Favourites

I have never done a monthly favourites before so I thought I'd give it a bash.
Here is what I've been loving this month...

-Fashion -

New Look Clutch. I bought this at the start of August and have been displaying it proudly in my room until I found an occasion to use it - which I finally did on the last day of August for my friends 21st! I just think it's so so pretty and the colour is my absolute favourite colour.

Primark Mixed Metal Necklaces. A lot of people don't like mixed metal jewellery and freak out at the thought of wearing a gold watch and a silver ring but that's my every life sooo yeah. I love these necklaces, they are so simple and cute and were only £3 WIN WIN WIN.

- Hair -

Garnier Ultimate Blends 'The Sleek Restorer' Shampoo with coconut oil & cocoa butter. I am currently obsessed with this shampoo. I'm not really the kind of gal who fusses over shampoo, I just buy whatever is on offer to be honest. However having recently dip dyed my hair blonde I was needing something to restore hydration to the ends of my hair. I was drawn to this shampoo in boots as the smell of coconut and cocoa butter together is basically perfection in my eyes. It smells insane and I think I am in love. If you want silky smooth hair and to feel fabulous ever day I advice you to go buy it now.

- Beauty -

Mac Eyeshadow Palette. My lovely best friends actually bought me this as part of my 21st birthday present, so I'm not sure what the colours are called, but isn't it just the perfect little palette. These eyeshadows have been my go-to for everyday and evening looks, toning it down for day looks and creating strong purple smokey eyes for evenings. It is also the perfect size to keep in my make-up bag instead of carrying around my naked palette all the time.

- Bathtime -

Soap & Glory 'Calm One, Calm All' Bubble Bath. I love baths, morning baths, daytime baths, night time baths, bubble baths, oil baths, even baths that burn your bottom as you climb in. I am always looking for new bath products to try and I recently took advantage of the 3 for 2 deal in Boots on Soap and Glory products and picked up this bubble bath. It smells incredible like cupcakes and makes me want to eat it - a bonus that it leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated.

- Blog -

Style The Natives. Charly's blog can't be defined into a category apart from simply excellence. I have been loving reading her posts, whether that be a creative outfit post or a random snippet about her life. One of my favourite post's is 'A Single Girls Plea' - I just love the way she writes and she seems like a brilliant human being.

The Weekend LBD

Dress - Topshop
Clutch - Topshop
Heels - New Look
Necklaces - Primark
Rings - Accessorize
Last weekend I went on a night out for my friends birthday and I opted to wear a classic LBD number. As this was quite plain I jazzed up the look with a green patterned clutch from Topshop, which kind of has a tropical forest vibe to it - literally in love with it. I went for simple accessories, my Fossil watch and some mixed metal necklaces I picked up from Primark for a bargain price of £3! Teamed with a pair of trusty New Look heels I was ready to intoxicate my body with rum, vodka and maayyybe a little sambuca haha. <3
